About the Artist

I have  wide variety of artic interests: interior design, owning and operating Nantucket Island Weddings, photography, marketing, graphic design, cooking and baking  and most recently I took up painting after 40 years.  My parents have been my greatest source of inspiration as mother was an art teacher and owned a florist shop and my father  dabbled in woodworking while conquering the business world. 

My BFA is in graphic design and fashion photography from Ohio Wesleyan University. I also studied graphic design, fashion retail, marketing, and European and British theatre in London through Syracuse University. In New York City, I studied with Nikon and completed an six month internship with Conde Nast as the assistant to a fashion editor. 

Often, I set up a light box to create the  perfect arrangement and use these photos as direct inspiration for my paintings. This allows me to study the vignette in detail and enable my work to reflected the mood 

with color and lighting. 

I am a self taught painter and believe that all my past experiences have provided me with the tools to see things differently. I use my photography skills and passion for painting in harmony to create something beautiful. 

Creativity is an absolute necessity for my well being.
